Excerpts from our exclusive interview with her:
Q1) Tell us a little bit about your start-up and your journey, please;
I’m a wedding consultant, designer, and stylist or you can also call me a wedding and event maker. I started my journey in September 2017 with a very small setup from home.
Q2) How did the idea for your business/startup come about?
I am very passionate about my dream from my childhood times only, I always wanted to do something of my own which is full of color and creativity. As time passes my interest in making creative things got to boost up, I start planning weddings for my close ones and love to take all charges by myself.
One day while working for my day-to-day job I thought about getting the professional certification of my passion and convert it into a profession. I’ve completed my diploma course in Wedding and Event Management and then learn some more about this field and jump in converting my passion to a profession.
Q3) What was your key driving force to become an entrepreneur?
Planning weddings or making any creative designs is my passion and being an entrepreneur, I just wanted to only one thing if you love what u do no matter what the work is or what others thought about you, you will never get bored of your work and your work will love you back.
Q4) How did you come up with the name for your business/startup?
My business is about showcase of creativity that’s why I name it as “Creativeshowz”
Q5) What service(s) or product(s) do you offer/manufacture?
We offer complete wedding solutions like:-
- Wedding invitation
- Initial consulting
- Bridegroom outfits
- Designing and decoration of setups
- Guest management
- Artist management
- Catering and more
Q6) Why should people choose your product/services?
We don’t say we are the best but we always believe that every wedding we plan is like our own house wedding. We give our personalized touch in all your functions and we are always there a call away to solve your issues even if its mid night. We work on your dream wedding as you always wanted to be whether funky, stylish, destination, modern, traditional anything which you want.
Q7) How do you market your business, and which tactics have been most successful?
I got my business listed on all the possible portals I can but with no money involvement. I first check the response from those portals and if I find them worthy then only I invest in them.
I promote my business using all the possible modes of marketing like talking to friends, family, relatives, Facebook page, LinkedIn page, google registration, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube channel and even I have created website for my business on my own. I can’t say only one tactic helps me to grow it’s everything.
Q8) What risks are you facing?
Well if I talk about my starting journey then I have different risks like regular income to meet day-to-day needs because I was staying alone and don’t have any financial support from anywhere so I have to take care of my bills, rents, and more.
Q9) Did pandemic (COVID 19) affected your business? if yes how?
Yes a lot even we were at the stage where we are about to close the business but we never gave up we still tried to do some more creative things try different ways of marketing, attend some virtual conferences and all these things helps a lot to stand one more time and continue with our love.
Q10) Have you considered any alliance/partnership/funding?
Q11) What are your responsibilities as the business owner?
My only responsibility is to take care of my family members (my team) and client, if they are happy, I am happy and business will grow with them happily.
Q12) How many hours a day do you work on average & can you describe/outline your typical day?
I don’t have fix hours of working. I usually work for 10-15 hours till the time my mind feel fresh and new ideas are generating.
Q13) Tell us about your early life & How has been an entrepreneur affected your family life?
Earlier I was in 9 hours of corporate job who used to go out with friends and family on weekends and only enjoying limited time with my family and I can take care of my family and business both at the same time. I can work from anywhere I want at any time and also give my attention to my family.
Q14) What piece of advice would you give to college graduates who want to become entrepreneurs??
Don’t just jump into business directly after your studies, first work with other people learn the basics at least for 2-3 years, and then if you think you can manage everything on your own initially then only think of the business.
